Privacy & Spa Policies at The Body Shop Massage & Spa
Cancellation Policy
We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice for any schedule changes or cancellation requests. Cancellations or missed appointments without this notice can create challenges for both your therapist and other clients who may be seeking services during that time. To mitigate this, please be aware that a fee of 50% of the service cost may be charged for the first missed appointment, and 100% for any subsequent missed sessions. Additionally, we reserve the right to require a credit card number to secure future bookings, enabling us to appropriately charge any applicable fees for late cancellations. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Late Arrival Policy
We kindly request that you arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow sufficient time for any necessary paperwork and to address any intake questions your therapist may have. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occasionally cause delays. If you find yourself running late, please call us to inform us, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation. Please note that appointment times are reserved for each client, and we cannot exceed the scheduled duration without impacting subsequent appointments. Consequently, arriving after your appointed time may result in a shortened session, with the session concluding at the scheduled time. Full service fees will apply even if your session is abbreviated due to late arrival. In return, we strive to keep our schedule prompt and, should we encounter any delays, we will either extend your session to make up for the lost time or adjust the service charge accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Inappropriate Behavior Policy
Massage therapy is intended solely for relaxation and therapeutic benefits. There are strictly no sexual components associated with our services. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, conversation, or request of a sexual nature will result in the immediate termination of your session and the denial of all future services. In such cases, you will be charged the full service fee, regardless of the duration of your appointment.
Furthermore, depending on the nature of the behavior exhibited, we reserve the right to report the incident to local authorities. We expect all clients to treat their therapists with respect and dignity, and in turn, you will receive the same consideration. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding misconduct and are committed to ensuring a safe and professional environment for both clients and therapists.
Your Privacy & Health are Important to Us
Currently, The Body Shop Massage & Spa is not implementing specific COVID-19 guidelines. However, clients may request that their massage therapist wear a mask and/or gloves during the treatment. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we will make every effort to accommodate your preferences. Upon arrival for each treatment, you will be required to answer a series of health-related questions, including inquiries about any health concerns, ailments, medications, or injuries. These questions are essential to ensure your safety, as certain health conditions may contraindicate massage therapy. It is imperative that you provide honest and accurate information to your therapist, who will assess your suitability for therapeutic massage to protect your well-being. Rest assured, any information collected by your therapist is confidential and will be treated with the utmost privacy. No documents, session notes, or information related to your treatments will be shared electronically or in person with anyone other than the client.
